**KASARAGOD, July 6, 2025** – The Central University of Kerala (CUK) announced today the introduction of three new four-year undergraduate programs: BSc (Hons) Biology, BCom (Hons) Financial Analytics, and BCA (Hons). These programs, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, are designed to equip students with the skills needed for careers in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven job market.

The new programs are offered by the School of Biological Science, the Department of Commerce and International Business, and the Department of Computer Science. Students will be able to exit the programs with a certificate after one year, a diploma after two years, a degree after three years, and an honors degree with research after four years, providing flexibility and various pathways to further education or employment.

The BCom (Hons) Financial Analytics course was developed in consultation with industry experts and focuses on the intersection of finance, data science, and technology. The BCA (Hons) program will address the growing demand for tech professionals by providing training in areas such as data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity. The BSc (Hons) Biology program provides hands-on training in core areas like zoology, molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics, targeting careers in biotech clusters, pharmaceuticals, public health and research.
