LONDON, England – Melanie “Mel B” Brown, also known as Scary Spice of the iconic girl group the Spice Girls, has tied the knot with hairstylist Rory McPhee. The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, July 5th, in a lavish ceremony held in the historic Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The bride, 50, looked radiant in a custom ivory gown by Josephine Scott, later changing into a dress by Justin Alexander. Caroline Black, owner of Evelie Bridal Boutiques, assisted Mel B in selecting her wedding attire.
Following the ceremony, a star-studded reception took place at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard, the United Kingdom’s tallest building. Guests included fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), as well as Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan, and Daisy Lowe. Mel B’s three daughters, Phoenix, Angel Iris, and Madison, served as bridesmaids.
The couple’s choice of St. Paul’s Cathedral as their wedding venue is particularly significant. Mel B was granted special permission to marry there after being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Prince William in 2022 for her work raising awareness of domestic violence issues.
Mel B and McPhee, 37, became engaged in 2022 after dating for three years. McPhee, who worked with Mel B on “The Masked Singer,” proposed during a romantic getaway in Berkshire. This marks Mel B’s third marriage; she was previously married to Jimmy Gulzar and Stephen Belafonte.
