**Thomas Müller Confirms Past Manchester United Interest, Shuts Down Potential Move**
**MUNICH, GERMANY** – Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller has revealed he once considered a move to Manchester United during his illustrious career, but emphatically stated that a transfer to Old Trafford is now out of the question.
The 35-year-old, set to depart Bayern Munich following the conclusion of their Club World Cup campaign this summer after 17 trophy-laden years, confirmed that he entertained the idea of joining the Red Devils in the past, particularly when Louis van Gaal, who previously managed Müller at Bayern, was in charge.
“Yeah, I thought about it,” Müller admitted in an interview with CBS Sports. “There were some moments I thought it would be nice to experience it.”
However, when asked if a move to Manchester United would appeal to him now, Müller dismissed the possibility with a humorous tone: “Now? No, no. I’m not the right guy for them and they are not the right club for me. They won’t have fun and I won’t have fun so that’s not a match!”
Müller’s departure from Bayern Munich will mark the end of an era, having scored 250 goals and won 33 major honors with the club. While a move to Manchester United is off the cards, the German veteran is reportedly attracting interest from MLS clubs, as well as European sides Fiorentina and Fenerbahçe as he considers his next move. Manchester United are looking to bolster their squad and have already added Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo has stated his desire to join the Red Devils.
