**ANNAPOLIS, MD – July 4, 2025 (CBS Baltimore)** – A multi-vehicle accident has forced the complete closure of all westbound lanes on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge this Fourth of July. The Maryland Transportation Authority confirmed the shutdown, which impacts all three westbound lanes.
The accident, involving at least one entrapment, was reported at approximately 11:45 a.m. EDT. Maryland Department of Transportation officials say that first responders are currently at the scene.
