**Regional Ring Road Project to Revitalize Hyderabad, Roads Minister Announces**
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today announced significant progress on the long-awaited Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, pledging to transform Hyderabad’s infrastructure and connectivity. Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad on Thursday, Minister Reddy stated that the project is being upgraded from a four-lane to a six-lane highway and is targeted for completion within three years.
“We will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari soon to push for it. Once completed, the very shape of Hyderabad will change,” Reddy declared. The six-lane proposal will soon be presented to the Cabinet for approval. He emphasized the Congress government’s historical role in infrastructure development, citing the Outer Ring Road (ORR) as a previous success.
In addition to the RRR, the Minister unveiled plans for constructing Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) roads to ensure quality and efficiency in road construction. “Roads are not meant for contractors, they are for people,” he asserted. The Telangana government has already issued tenders worth ₹6,500 crore for village road construction.
Reddy also challenged BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao to a public debate in the Assembly. “We will debate every issue if KCR dares to attend,” he stated. “Harish Rao and KTR are irrelevant now as they are just MLAs and not even Floor leaders.”
