**”Ironheart” Series Set to Explore Tech vs. Magic in the MCU**

**LOS ANGELES, CA** – November 29, 2025 – The highly anticipated Disney+ series, “Ironheart,” starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young tech prodigy first introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” premieres tomorrow with a three-episode drop. The series promises to explore the clash between technological innovation and mystical forces, as revealed at the premiere event at the El Capitan Theatre.

Executive Producer Ryan Coogler, known for his work on “Black Panther,” initially hadn’t envisioned a spinoff for Thorne’s character. However, Marvel executives Brad Winderbaum and Zoie Nagelhout approached him with the concept after Riri’s character development in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Coogler embraced the idea, excited to further expand #Ironheart through this series.

Coogler explained that Riri’s character was originally conceived as a “foil” to Shuri (Letitia Wright), allowing her to grow into a mentor role. The series also introduces The Hood (Anthony Ramos), a villain who stumbles upon spectral magic, bridging the gap between technology and the mystical realm depicted in “Doctor Strange.” Coogler emphasized the timely relevance of the series, given current discussions surrounding AI ethics. He also hinted that the integration of technology and magic could play a significant role in future MCU projects, potentially including the highly anticipated next Avengers film.

“It’s so crazy to be putting this movie out now, at the time where AI is on the front of everybody’s mind, technological ethics are on the front of everybody’s mind,” Coogler noted.

When asked about “Black Panther 3”, Coogler confirmed that he is currently working on the script.

Thorne shared insights into her character’s journey, highlighting Riri’s STEM-focused background and her initial reluctance to embrace the “more mystical side of things.” She teased a “hilarious” and “tempting” journey as Riri grapples with the potential of magic, spurred by her family’s spiritual leanings.
