**American Tourist Vanishes in Turks and Caicos; Search Intensifies**

**Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos –** A frantic search is underway for Brian Tarrence, a 51-year-old man from New York who disappeared from his rental condo in Grace Bay, Providenciales, on June 25. Tarrence was vacationing with his wife and was last seen leaving the Paradise Inn around 3:30 a.m. local time.

According to a missing persons flyer released by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, Tarrence, who recently relocated from Monroe to Manhattan, arrived on the island with his wife on June 22, with plans to depart on June 29.

Private investigator Carl DeFazio, hired by the Tarrence family, told Fox News Digital that the local police are utilizing all available resources, including drone technology and CCTV footage, in their search efforts. “It’s the No. 1 case right now. Everyone’s looking for him,” DeFazio said. He described Grace Bay Road as a generally safe area.

Tarrence reportedly left his rental with his phone and wallet, wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. DeFazio is working to obtain Tarrence’s phone records, which has proved time-consuming, for further leads. According to the investigator, Tarrence and his wife had taken a boat trip the day before his disappearance. His wife had gone to bed and woke up to find him missing.

Despite the lack of answers six days after his disappearance, DeFazio remains hopeful. “Stay positive until you have a reason not to be,” he said. He also commended the local community and tourists for their assistance in distributing Tarrence’s missing persons flyer. DeFazio stated that there is no reason to suspect foul play, but acknowledged that it’s too soon to rule anything out.

Turks and Caicos police urge anyone with information regarding Brian Tarrence’s whereabouts to contact 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
