**Osaka, Japan** – The Mozambique Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 has celebrated a significant milestone, welcoming its one millionth visitor since opening its doors on April 13th.
Yoshimi Shibayama, a Kyoto native, was surprised to learn she was the lucky visitor. “When I decided to come to the Expo today, I did not know that I would visit the Mozambique Pavilion, but I was curious and decided to go in,” she said upon receiving a symbolic award. “I am pleased to be a special visitor. I am surprised.”
The pavilion has been attracting over 2,000 visitors daily and showcases technological initiatives from Mozambique. Organizers say reaching the one million visitor mark in just two months increases their responsibility in promoting the country’s image. They are optimistic about reaching their goal of attracting three million visitors before the Expo concludes on October 13, 2025.
