**Kolkata, India** – A 24-year-old law student has accused an alumnus and two current students of gang raping her on the campus of a Kolkata college. In a harrowing complaint, the victim detailed the alleged assault, stating that it occurred after she suffered a panic attack during which the main accused, Monojit Mishra, procured an inhaler for her.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on June 25 after a political meeting on campus. The victim alleges that Mishra pressured her to stay behind, then attempted to force himself on her. Experiencing a panic attack, she requested an inhaler, which was allegedly purchased by co-accused Zaib Ahmed. After using the inhaler, the victim attempted to leave but found the main gate locked. She was then allegedly dragged to another room where Mishra raped her while Ahmed and Pramit Mukhopadhyay filmed the act.

The survivor claims that during the assault, Mishra threatened to harm her boyfriend and parents and showed her videos of the rape to blackmail her. She also stated that she suffered a head injury during the ordeal.

The allegations have sparked outrage and political controversy in West Bengal. Mishra is reportedly linked to the Trinamool Congress, putting pressure on the ruling party. The Trinamool Congress has stated that the accused will face punishment regardless of their political affiliations.

CCTV footage corroborates the survivor’s statement showing the accused dragging her. A local pharmacy also confirmed that Ahmed purchased an inhaler around the time indicated in the complaint.

Police are investigating the incident.
