**Los Angeles Kings Bolster Roster with Veteran Forward Corey Perry and Joel Armia**

**Los Angeles, CA – July 1, 2025** – The Los Angeles Kings have announced the signing of veteran winger Corey Perry to a one-year, bonus-laden contract. The news, first reported by TSN’s Bob McKenzie, brings the 40-year-old Perry to his second Pacific Division Team. The Kings also expect to sign Joel Armia to a two-year deal with a $2.5 million cap hit, according to TSN and The Athletic.

Perry, a former Hart Trophy winner and Stanley Cup champion with the Anaheim Ducks, brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for grit to the Kings’ lineup. While his offensive numbers have tapered off from his dominant years in Anaheim, where he amassed 372 goals, 776 points, and 1,110 penalty minutes, he has demonstrated the grit to play the grinder role and even be a threat as a bottom-end forward. During the 2025 playoffs with the Edmonton Oilers he climbed to fifth on the team in scoring during the 2025 playoffs, where he filled a pivotal role en route to 10 goals and 14 points in 22 games.

Joel Armia, known for his strong penalty-killing abilities and physical presence, provides additional depth and versatility to the Kings’ forward corps. “LA is worse today than yesterday. Didn’t think that was possible, but…” said one fan in the comment section. However another fan was quoted as saying, “How are they worse? Armia is a great penalty killer and Perry was one of the best oilers in the playoffs but sure”

The Kings hope that Perry and Armia can add depth and grit to their forward lineup and contribute to a deep playoff run in the upcoming season.
