**DMK Leader Claims AIADMK in Disarray Over Coalition Plans as Membership Drive Kicks Off**
**TIRUCHI, July 1, 2025** – K.N. Nehru, principal secretary of the DMK party and Minister for Municipal Administration, asserted today that the DMK alliance remains strong, while accusing the AIADMK of facing internal conflicts regarding its strategy for forming a government.
Speaking to reporters in Tiruchi, Nehru highlighted AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswamy’s earlier claims of forming a grand alliance to challenge the DMK. Nehru countered that the DMK alliance stands firm, with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin prepared to address any differences with coalition partners during election time.
Nehru contrasted the DMK’s stability with the AIADMK’s apparent indecision on whether to pursue a solo government or lead a coalition. He pointed to conflicting signals, noting that while the AIADMK initially aimed to lead an NDA government if victorious, recent statements from Home Minister Amit Shah suggested a coalition approach. Palaniswamy has yet to address these apparent contradictions.
Meanwhile, the DMK is launching the ‘Oraniyil Tamil Nadu’ campaign, aiming to enroll one crore new members by highlighting the achievements of the DMK government and criticizing the policies of the BJP-led central government.
Addressing criticism from the AIADMK regarding delays in opening the new integrated bus terminus in Tiruchi, Nehru dismissed their concerns, arguing that the AIADMK failed to initiate the project during its tenure. He assured the public that the process of selecting an operator for the terminus is underway and that the facility will be operational within one to two weeks, following the resolution of queries raised by a committee in Chennai.
