**JAL to Offer Exclusive Yuza Whisky on International Flights, Promoting Regional Tourism**
Tokyo, Japan – Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to tantalize the taste buds of its international passengers with the exclusive “Single Malt Yuza Japan Airlines Exclusive 2025” whisky, available for purchase on flights from July 1st to August 31st. This initiative is part of JAL’s broader effort to showcase and promote “Japanese Craft Whisky” from smaller, regional distilleries, encouraging tourists to explore diverse areas of Japan.
The featured whisky is the ninth edition in the airline’s exclusive series, crafted by Kinryu at the Yuza Distillery in Yuza Town, Yamagata Prefecture. The “Single Malt Yuza Japan Airlines Exclusive 2025” is a meticulously crafted single malt, aged for over four years in rigorously selected bourbon casks and finished for approximately six months in high-quality sherry casks. The resulting spirit boasts a rich aroma reminiscent of raisins and chocolate, coupled with a smooth, mellow flavor and a fruity finish.
The 700ml bottle will be exclusively available to First and Business Class passengers and requires pre-ordering through JAL’s international flight inflight sales “Pre-order Service.” Purchases are limited to one bottle per person per flight. A smaller 180ml bottle will be available for purchase in all classes, including Economy. The prices are set at ¥21,000 (approximately $148 USD) for the 700ml bottle and ¥5,600 (approximately $39 USD) for the 180ml bottle, both including tax.
JAL hopes this unique offering will not only enhance the inflight experience but also inspire travelers to discover the unique whisky-producing regions of Japan.
