Mon Jun 30 12:51:36 UTC 2025: ## News Article: YSRCP Condemns “Irregular” Government Employee Transfers in Andhra Pradesh
**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – June 30, 2025 -** The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Employees Wing has launched a scathing attack on the Andhra Pradesh government, alleging widespread irregularities and mismanagement in the ongoing transfer process of government employees. N. Chandrasekhar Reddy, State president of the YSRCP Employees Wing, condemned the transfers, claiming over 90% are influenced by “undue pressures,” particularly affecting village and ward secretariat staff.
Reddy alleges employees are being forcibly transferred to locations far from their home districts, causing significant disruption and distress. He further accused government officials of undermining the system by making arbitrary decisions under the guise of rationalization, claiming transfers are being influenced by MLA recommendations, and allegations of bribery. He also noted that current guidelines for the transfer process do not require a letter of recommendation from an MLA.
“The transfers are being done based on recommendations from MLAs, with employees being coerced into or paying bribes to secure postings,” Reddy stated.
The YSRCP leader highlighted the particular vulnerability of female employees, claiming they are facing harassment and financial exploitation. He has demanded the immediate cancellation of all irregular transfers and the initiation of a transparent, well-planned transfer process. He also urged the government to release four pending Dearness Allowances (DAs) without delay.
“If the government continues to exploit employees, it will not survive long,” Reddy warned.
The YSRCP’s strong condemnation adds fuel to the debate surrounding government employee transfers in Andhra Pradesh, raising serious questions about transparency and fairness in the process. The government has yet to respond to the allegations.
