Mon Jun 30 11:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Congress Leader Alleges Secret Alliance Between BJP and BRS as Ramachander Rao Set to Lead Telangana BJP

**Hyderabad, June 30, 2025** – Amidst the ongoing elections for the BJP state president in Telangana, TPCC spokesperson Sama Ram Mohan Reddy has made sensational claims of a covert alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Reddy alleges that the unopposed election of Ramachander Rao as the BJP’s state president is a direct consequence of this alleged pact.

“The first step towards a BJP-BRS alliance has been taken,” Reddy stated in a statement released on his X account today. He accused the BJP of supporting the BRS in Telangana, while the BRS reciprocates by supporting the BJP at the national level. He predicted that the two parties will even contest future elections together, effectively equating the BJP to the BRS.

Reddy’s comments come as Ramachander Rao is all but confirmed as the new state president, with no other nominations filed. This development follows a period of internal strife within the Telangana BJP, particularly after the removal of Bandi Sanjay as state president prior to the 2023 assembly elections, a decision that reportedly alienated several senior party members, including veteran actress Vijayashanti who subsequently defected to the Congress party. Some within the state believed the decision to replace Sanjay was an attempt by the BJP high command to help BRS retain power.

Reddy’s allegations also surface against a backdrop of swirling controversies surrounding the BRS, including the Delhi liquor scam, which implicated KCR’s daughter K. Kavitha, and allegations of phone tapping during the KCR regime. These issues, coupled with Reddy’s claims, have sparked significant political debate in Telangana.

The Congress party is likely to leverage these accusations in the coming months, hoping to further weaken the BRS and position themselves as the primary opposition to the BJP in the state. The BJP and BRS have yet to comment on the allegations.
