**Hyderabad, India – June 30, 2025:** L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has received the Special Recognition Award for the Asia Pacific Region at the UITP Awards 2025, held in Hamburg, Germany. The award, supported by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), recognizes L&TMRHL’s project, “Optimized Metro Operation Plans leading to Increased Revenue per Train.”

The accolade celebrates L&TMRHL’s data-driven approach to optimizing schedules, enhancing energy efficiency, and strategically deploying trains. This has resulted in a significant increase in revenue per train trip while maintaining high service standards and passenger satisfaction.

The UITP Awards, organized by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), a global network representing over 1,900 organizations across 100+ countries, honor projects that are shaping the future of urban mobility. L&TMRHL was selected as one of the final five contenders from a pool of 500 entries.
