**Bengaluru, India – June 30, 2025** – Indian Craft Brewery (ICB), a sprawling 1,500-seater brewery in Bengaluru’s Nagawara, is making waves by infusing its craft beer offerings with a deep appreciation for Indian history and heritage. Founded by GopiChand Cherukuri, ICB draws inspiration from ancient brewing traditions, referencing Vedic texts and even the Indus Valley civilization, whose water bearer emblem, “Vari,” is proudly displayed as the brewery’s symbol.
Master brewer Antonio Rodriguez-Giralt, a certified cicerone from Costa Rica with over a decade of international experience, leads the innovative beer program. In collaboration with KU Leuven University in Belgium, ICB is pushing the boundaries of beer creation, experimenting with unique Indian flavors and ingredients.
The brewery boasts nine beers on tap, each with a story to tell. “El Chamraj,” a Mexican-style lager, is named after a Bengaluru locality. The “Nandi Nectar” is a sweet witbeer infused with honey from Nagaland. “Red Raja,” a red ale, pays homage to a classic 1980s Indian film. The “Rowdy Stout” is a rich chocolate milk stout crafted with Indian chocolate and lactose.
Two standouts are the seasonal “Malgudi Special,” a mango beer currently a bestseller, and the signature “Ramanujan,” a non-alcoholic beer with flavors changing seasonally. When sampled, the “Ramanujan” was a Jamun beer, its light pink hue and tangy taste providing a uniquely Indian twist on a familiar drink.
Beyond beer, ICB offers signature cocktails incorporating Indian flavors and a food menu featuring dishes from across Asia, North and South India, and Italy. Future brews might include masala chai, oranges, and millets.
Located near Manyata Tech Park, ICB’s red brick walls and Indus Valley-inspired sculptures create an immersive atmosphere. The brewery features both indoor seating over two floors and an outdoor al fresco area. With its commitment to heritage and innovative brewing, ICB is quickly becoming a must-visit destination in Bengaluru’s vibrant craft beer scene. A meal for two at ICB costs around ₹2,000.
