**Manhunt Continues for Father Accused of Killing Daughters; Expert Believes He’s Alive**

CHELAN COUNTY, WA – The search for Travis Decker, accused of murdering his three young daughters, is entering its second month, with authorities and experts weighing in on the fugitive’s potential whereabouts and survival. Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, were found dead near the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County on June 2, days after going missing during a planned visitation with their father on May 30.

Despite extensive searches, there is no concrete evidence pointing to Decker’s current location. Kittitas County Sheriff Clay Myers affirmed the commitment to finding Decker, stating, “We can’t and won’t quit this search. Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia Decker deserve justice. Decker remains a danger to the public as long as he’s at large.”

Law enforcement and security analyst Todd McGhee, a former Massachusetts state trooper, told ABC News that he believes Decker is still alive. McGhee highlights the fact that search dogs haven’t detected a cadaver scent, and suggests Decker’s military training likely allows him to survive in the wilderness. McGhee also raised the possibility that Decker may have fled to Canada. Before the murders, Decker reportedly searched online for information on relocating to Canada.

Court documents revealed disturbing details surrounding the girls’ deaths. The children were suffocated, with plastic bags over their heads and their wrists zip-tied. Zip ties and plastic bags were also found near Decker’s abandoned vehicle, which had blood handprints on the tailgate.

Whitney Decker, the girls’ mother, had been granted full custody of her daughters. Speaking publicly for the first time at a memorial service, she described her daughters as having “warm and open hearts,” adding, “I’m so thankful for the time that I had with the girls.” Her attorney, Arianna Cozart, noted that Decker struggled with mental health issues, including PTSD, and that the system had failed to provide him with the help he needed.

Decker is described as 5’8″ tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light shirt and dark shorts. He is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Decker’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately. The search remains active, with investigators determined to bring closure to this tragic case.
