**Visakhapatnam, India – June 29, 2025** – The Indian Navy bolstered its capabilities with the induction of its fifth 25T Bollard Pull (BP) tug, ‘Ojas,’ in a ceremony held at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam on June 27th. Commodore Chetan Kumar Singh, General Manager (Technical) of the dockyard, presided over the event.

‘Ojas’ is part of a contract awarded to Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL-Kolkata) in November 2021 for the construction of six such tugs. Significantly, these tugs have been indigenously designed and built in compliance with the regulations of the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
