**TIRUNELVELI, June 28, 2025** – Water levels in the Papanasam and Manimuthar dams in Tirunelveli District are nearing their maximum capacity following recent inflows. As of this evening, the Papanasam dam stood at 135.20 feet, just shy of its maximum level of 143 feet. The dam is currently receiving an inflow of 1,444.39 cusecs and discharging 1,500 cusecs.

The Manimuthar dam is also experiencing high water levels, currently at 96.31 feet, approaching its maximum level of 118 feet. The inflow to the Manimuthar dam is 222.68 cusecs, with a discharge of 75 cusecs.
