**Mambalam Temples Prepare for Grand Kumbabhisekam Ceremony**
Chennai, June 28, 2025 – Sri Gangai Amman Kovil and Sri Karmukil Vannan Kovil, located near the Kodambakkam Railway Station in T. Nagar, are preparing for a grand Kumbabhisekam (Maha Samprasonam) ceremony scheduled for July 2, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. The temples, situated side-by-side on Mambalam High Road in Lala Thottam, will host the sacred event, followed by Annadhanam (free food distribution) at 12:00 p.m.
Later that evening, at 8:00 p.m., a procession will feature the deities of both temples, adorned and carried on their respective Vahanams, parading around the mada veedis (temple streets). The festivities will include Sri Devi Bhu Devi Samedha Srinivasa Perumal, Sri Devi Gangai Amman Swamigal Pushpa Alankaram (flower decoration), Nadaswaram music, fireworks (Vana Vedikkai), and a Thiruveedhi Oorvalam (street procession).
