Sat Jun 28 14:30:00 UTC 2025: ## ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Ends with Shocking Twist: A Baby Wins It All

**SEOUL** – The highly anticipated Season 3 of Netflix’s hit series “Squid Game” concluded with a stunning twist: a newborn baby emerged victorious from the brutal competition. In a season filled with unexpected alliances and deadly betrayals, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk delivered a finale that challenges viewers to consider the future and their responsibility to future generations.

The season’s final game, “Sky Squid Game,” saw players battling across precarious towers. Original protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) sacrificed himself in the final round to protect the infant, Jun-hee’s baby (Jo Yuri), from her murderous father Myung-gi (Yim Si-wan) and the deadly game itself. Gi-hun’s sacrifice and the baby’s ultimate victory were intended to symbolize hope for the future, according to director Hwang.

“Ultimately, the baby represents the future generation,” Hwang told Tudum. “I believe we also have the responsibility and duty to try everything that we can in our power to leave a better world for the future generation.”

However, the finale also delivered closure to other characters. The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) showed unexpected humanity by both allowing the baby to play and eventually rescuing her from the game’s clutches. In a time jump, he’s seen delivering Gi-hun’s Season 1 winnings to his daughter in Los Angeles, but a chilling final scene hinted at the cycle of the Squid Game potentially continuing.

In a bittersweet ending, No-eul (Park Gyu-young) searches for her daughter. Sae-byeok’s brother Cheol (Park Si-wan) is happily reunited with his North Korean mother.

While the shocking conclusion has divided fans, director Hwang made it clear that Season 3 marks the end of the “Squid Game” saga, with no plans for a Season 4. The entire series is now available to stream on Netflix.
