**Mets Snap Braves’ Streak with Soto’s Two-Homer Performance**

**NEW YORK** – The New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 7-3 on Wednesday night, securing their first victory against their NL East rivals this season. Juan Soto led the charge with two home runs, while the bottom of the Mets’ lineup finally contributed significantly, highlighted by Ronny Mauricio’s home run and three-hit performance.

The Mets’ offense came alive in the fourth inning, sparked by Soto’s leadoff home run against Braves’ pitcher Didier Fuentes. Brett Baty and Brandon Nimmo also drove in runs during the five-run rally. Soto added his second homer in the seventh.

On the defensive end, Jeff McNeil made a remarkable catch in the first inning, robbing Marcell Ozuna of a two-run homer. Reliever Clay Holmes (8-4) pitched five innings, allowing just one run. The Mets’ bullpen also delivered three scoreless innings.

The Braves threatened in the ninth inning, scoring two runs before Edwin Díaz closed the door for his 16th save.

The series concludes Thursday night with Braves RHP Grant Holmes (3-6, 3.97 ERA) facing RHP Griffin Canning (7-3, 3.91).
