**Bhopal, June 27, 2025:** Chaos erupted in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday evening as at least 19 official vehicles earmarked for use during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s visit suffered engine failures after being refueled with water-contaminated diesel.

The incident occurred at a fuel station in Dosigaon village, where the vehicles, primarily SUVs, were filled up before developing mechanical issues. “Initial testing of diesel samples taken from the pump indicated a ‘variation in diesel density’, also indicators on the pump showed water content in the diesel,” Ratlam District Collector Rajesh Batham told The Hindu.

Authorities have sealed the fuel pump and launched a formal investigation into the matter, registering an FIR against the fuel station’s management.
