**BENGALURU, June 28, 2025** – CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) held its 22nd graduation day on Saturday, June 28th, conferring degrees upon 1,200 engineering graduates from the class of 2024-2025. The ceremony, which took place at the CMRIT campus in Bengaluru, recognized top academic performers and outstanding student achievers in sports and entrepreneurship.

Principal Sanjay Jain welcomed the graduates and highlighted key institutional achievements from the past year. The graduation oath was administered by Tristha Ramamurthy, Provost of CMR University.

The event’s chief guest, Prashanth Prakash, founder of Accel India and co-founder of Unboxing BLR Foundation, delivered an inspiring address encouraging graduates to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly within the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized the potential of AI to contribute to a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), especially in key sectors like agriculture, defense, and IT, promoting inclusive growth.

K.C. Ramamurthy, chairman of the CMR Group and former Rajya Sabha MP, served as the guest of honour. He congratulated the graduating class and stressed the importance of lifelong learning in navigating the challenges and opportunities of the future.

The ceremony also featured entrepreneurial student Devesh, who shared his startup journey, attributing his success to faculty mentorship. Alumnus Nithin Kushalappa was presented with the Silver Jubilee Alumni Excellence Award 2025 in recognition of his acclaimed book, “Dakshin.”

Senior members of the CMR Group, including Jayadeep K.R. Reddy, K.C. Jagantha Reddy, B. Narasimha Murthy, and Dean Chitra, were also in attendance, underscoring the institution’s commitment to fostering the next generation of engineering leaders.
