**Durgamoorthi Appointed Namakkal District Collector**
**Namakkal, June 27, 2025:** Durgamoorthi has officially taken office as the District Collector of Namakkal, effective Friday. The appointment was announced by the DIPR (Department of Information and Public Relations) earlier today.
Ms. Durgamoorthi succeeds S. Uma, who has been transferred to Chennai to assume the role of additional secretary for the special programme implementation department.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Durgamoorthi has held several key positions, beginning as Deputy Collector in Dindigul in 2009. She served as Revenue Divisional Officer and District Revenue Officer in Sivaganga district and previously in Namakkal district. Her dedicated service led to her promotion as an IAS officer in 2024.
