**Hollywood, CA** – Rachel Brosnahan, best known for her role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” has revealed details about landing the coveted role of Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman” film. In a conversation with actress Amanda Seyfried published in a magazine, Brosnahan shared the surprising story of how she received the life-changing phone call.
“I was in an Aritzia bathroom in SoHo,” Brosnahan revealed, recalling the moment James Gunn called to offer her the part. Before that Brosnahan did a big chemistry read out in L.A. where six women went to.
Brosnahan acknowledged the pressure of taking on such an iconic role, stating that she has never done something that has a baked-in fan base already. But is excited to be a part of something that people are so passionate about. “It’s definitely intimidating, too.” she said.

She shared that the first couple of days on set felt like shooting an indie movie. She made out for a couple of hours and then shot a 10-page-long scene with David Corenswet who plays Superman.
