**Simon Guobadia Accuses Porsha Williams of ‘Targeting’ Him for Money in Divorce Fallout**
Atlanta, GA – Simon Guobadia, ex-husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams, is alleging he was a victim of financial exploitation in their recently finalized divorce. In a scathing interview, Guobadia claimed Williams “targeted” him from the start, seeking to capitalize on his wealth during a vulnerable time after his split from fellow RHOA alum, Falynn Guobadia.
“I think I was targeted. I was targeted from day one for financial reasons,” Guobadia told Page Six, recounting how Williams reached out to him after his previous divorce. He expressed regret over the whirlwind romance, which culminated in an engagement after only 30 days. “Getting engaged in 30 days… who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind to have done that. Of course, I’m paying dearly for it.”
The businessman, who made his fortune with Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, claims he was “blindsided” by Williams’ February 2024 divorce filing. “I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’ And she wouldn’t say anything,” he stated, adding that he felt the divorce was a calculated move.
The divorce settlement favored Williams, granting her $560,000 in alimony, the marital home in Atlanta, and other benefits, as per their prenuptial agreement. Guobadia stated he intends to appeal the ruling, alleging he never felt so “targeted” in previous prenuptial agreements.
Guobadia, who also has a background in film production with credits on projects like “Jail House Dogs” and “Son of the South,” married Williams in two lavish ceremonies in November 2022 after a whirlwind courtship. Their union, however, lasted only 14 months.
Williams, who previously stated their age gap made her feel safe and assured in the marriage, cited a change in Guobadia and unresolved legal complexities as reasons for the divorce. She claimed she no longer recognized the man she married. She said the breaking point was an argument on Valentine’s Day this year.
It remains to be seen whether Williams will respond to Guobadia’s accusations.
