**Brandy and Monica Announce Joint “The Boy Is Mine” Tour, Ending Decades of Anticipation**
*NEW YORK – June 24, 2025* – Twenty-five years after their chart-topping duet “The Boy Is Mine” dominated airwaves, R&B icons Brandy and Monica are finally hitting the road together. The Grammy-winning duo announced their first-ever co-headlining tour, aptly named “The Boy Is Mine,” on CBS Mornings this Tuesday. The 24-city arena tour kicks off on October 16th in Cincinnati and wraps up on December 7th in Houston.
“They were trying to get us to do a tour since ’98, and it just finally felt like the right time,” Brandy shared on CBS Mornings, expressing her excitement about the long-awaited collaboration. Monica echoed the sentiment, describing their partnership as a “musical marriage.”
The tour marks a monumental reunion for the artists whose 1998 hit reigned at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 13 weeks, solidifying their place alongside music legends Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Recent viral interest, spurred by their surprise appearance in Ariana Grande’s “The Boy is Mine” music video, has further fueled anticipation for the tour. The pair earned a Grammy nomination for the remix collaboration more than 25 years after winning their first Grammy for the original song.
Joining Brandy and Monica on select dates are Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, chart-topping singer-songwriter Muni Long, and 2025 American Idol winner Jamal Roberts, promising fans an unforgettable night of R&B hits.
The announcement comes after years of reported tension between the singers, which they openly addressed during the CBS Mornings interview. “There was a lot of confusion and conflict, and there were a lot of people around,” Monica acknowledged. Despite the song’s subject matter of romantic rivalry, both artists playfully clarified that they have completely different tastes in men.
The singers also admitted to the difficulty of selecting songs from their respective catalogs for the two-hour show. “That part is hard. We want to give them everything that they want… so we have to figure out a way to condense this into two hours of just a celebration of music, celebration of womanhood,” Monica said.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. A presale will be available on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. using the code BPC.
