**Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers to Inaugurate New Facilities for Pilgrims at Tirumala**

**Bengaluru, June 25, 2025** – In a collaborative effort to enhance facilities for pilgrims, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will jointly inaugurate a new VIP block, a kalyani (ceremonial pond), and a temple on the Karnataka Choultry premises at Tirumala in September.

This initiative aims to improve the experience for devotees from Karnataka visiting the sacred hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara. The announcement follows the opening of the Sri Krishnaraja Wadiyar Block Kalyana Mantapa, a wedding and function hall at the Mysore Complex in Tirumala, by Karnataka’s Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Monday. The mantapa features a 500-seat capacity and 13 rooms, available for events such as weddings and family functions.

“The VIP block, including 36 well-furnished rooms, a ceremonial pond, and a temple, is a long-awaited dream come true for devotees from Karnataka,” stated Minister Reddy. “We are pleased to fulfill this need and look forward to the joint inauguration in September.”

The Karnataka government has been actively renovating and expanding the Karnataka choultries on Tirumala, which had reportedly suffered from years of neglect. Additions include the nearly completed Sri Krishnadevaraya Block, featuring 36 AC suites, and the Wadiyar block.

Booking options are available both online and offline through the Karnataka Religious Endowment Department’s portal: http://www.karnatakatemplesaccommodation.com. Currently, 60% of rooms are available for online booking, with 40% reserved for offline reservations.
