**Hyderabad, India – June 25, 2025:** The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has received the prestigious Golden Globe Tigers Award 2025 for its innovative Intelligent Transportation System. The award, in the Intelligent Transportation System category, was presented at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The GHMC was recognized for its city-wide Adaptive Traffic Signal Control System (ATCS), a project implemented in partnership with the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates and Arcadis IBI Group. The system spans 280 traffic intersections and 94 pelican signals, utilizing real-time traffic data and centralized dynamic signal control.

According to a press release from the GHMC, the ATCS has resulted in a 15-20% increase in average travel speeds on major city corridors. The award highlights Hyderabad’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve urban mobility and efficiency for its residents.
