**Oklahoma City Gears Up for Thunder’s Championship Parade; Road Closures Begin Monday**
**Oklahoma City, OK – June 23, 2025, 5:20 PM** – The city of Oklahoma City is preparing to celebrate the Oklahoma City Thunder’s historic NBA Championship win with a celebratory parade scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24. The Thunder clinched their first-ever NBA title in a thrilling 103-91 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the Finals at Paycom Center on Sunday.
City officials have announced extensive road closures and parking restrictions to ensure the safety and accessibility of the parade. Road closures along the parade route will begin at 8:00 AM today, Monday, June 23, and will remain in effect until the parade concludes on Tuesday.
**Parade Route and Road Closures:**
The parade will commence at NW 10th Street and N. Harvey Avenue, proceeding south on Harvey, west on NE 5th Street, south on N. Walker Avenue, east on Oklahoma City Boulevard, south on S. Robinson Avenue, and concluding at Scissortail Park. Cross streets and surrounding areas will also be closed.
Specifically, streets running east and west of Harvey Avenue, Walker Avenue, and Robinson Avenue will be closed, as will streets running north and south of NW 5th Street and Oklahoma City Blvd. This closure also impacts the USPS Center City Station, which will temporarily suspend operations on June 24.
**Traffic and Parking Information:**
Commuters are advised to expect significant travel delays on both Monday and Tuesday. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the parade route area, including N Harvey Avenue, NW 11th Street, NW 5th Street, Walker Avenue, and Oklahoma City Blvd. Alternate routes are strongly recommended.
Parking restrictions are in effect along and around the parade route, beginning at 8:00 AM today, June 23, and lasting into the evening of June 24. Vehicles parked in temporary no-parking zones or on the interstate will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Limited vehicular crossings of the parade route will be permitted at designated locations until 7:30 AM on Tuesday, June 24, if conditions allow. Pedestrian crossings along the parade route will also be available at specific locations until the parade starts, with closures possible as early as two hours prior to the commencement of the parade.
