The Class 12 science students utilized their knowledge of the Law of Conservation of Energy, learned in their physics classes, to develop the doll.
Zara, made of fiber reinforced plastic, is programmed to emit a loud warning, “No, don’t touch,” when inappropriate contact is detected. Following the warning, the doll recites information about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
“The touch-sensitive dolls are multi-lingual and can communicate in Tamil, Hindi, and English,” explained S.
