**Bengaluru Doctor Arrested for Disruptive Behavior, Allegedly Threatening to Crash Air India Express Flight**

BENGALURU: A 36-year-old doctor from Bengaluru was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly creating a disturbance and threatening to crash an Air India Express flight bound for Surat. The incident occurred at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) shortly before the 2:30 pm scheduled takeoff of flight IX2749.

According to sources, Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai, a resident of Shivanahalli, near Yelahanka, sparked the incident by refusing to store her luggage in the designated overhead compartment. Cabin crew members had asked her to move her bag from the front row to the overhead compartment above her assigned seat (20F), but she reportedly demanded the crew move the bag for her.

Despite repeated requests from the crew and intervention from the pilot, Mohanbhai allegedly continued to misbehave, shouting at crew and other passengers. The situation escalated when she allegedly threatened to crash the plane, prompting the pilot to alert security and CISF personnel. She was subsequently removed from the aircraft.

Authorities stated that her actions threatened the safety of the other passengers. Mohanbhai has been booked under sections 351 (4) and 353 (1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 3(1)(a) of the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act.
