**Visakhapatnam, India – June 16, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh is preparing to host what Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is calling the “biggest and grandest” International Yoga Day celebration in the state’s history. Branded “Yogandhra 2025,” the event on June 21st is expected to draw a staggering 2.17 crore (21.7 million) participants across the state, with an estimated 5 lakh (500,000) gathering in Visakhapatnam alone.
During a review of arrangements today, Chief Minister Naidu declared the celebration a “game changer” for public health, aiming to create a “prosperous, healthy, and happy” Andhra Pradesh.
The event, sparked by a suggestion from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will feature a unique setup. Organizers promise comprehensive services, including readily available restrooms, drinking water, and medical assistance, as well as yoga mats for all participants.
