LOS ANGELES, CA – The North Carolina Courage are set to conclude their three-game road trip with a challenging match against Angel City FC at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles this Saturday, June 14th, with kickoff scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast nationally on ION.

The Courage (3W-5L-3D, 11th in NWSL standings) are looking to rebound after a 3-1 loss to the Washington Spirit last weekend. Japanese midfielder Manaka Matsukubo continues to impress, scoring her third goal in as many games, earning her second Goal of the Week nomination. Feli Rauch has also been a key contributor in the attack, linking up well with Matsukubo.

Angel City (4W-4L-3D, 9th in NWSL standings) poses a significant offensive threat, spearheaded by Alyssa Thompson and rookie sensation Riley Tiernan, who have collectively tallied 11 goals and three assists this season. Goalkeeper Angelina Anderson has started every game for Angel City this season.

This match marks the second in charge for Angel City’s newly appointed head coach, Alex Straus, formerly of Bayern Munich, where he led the team to three consecutive Frauen-Bundesliga titles.

The Courage will be looking to improve their record against Angel City, where they have a 1W-3L-2D record. Following this match, the Courage will return home to face the Houston Dash on Saturday, June 21st, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
