## No Casualties as Massive Fire Engulfs Dubai Marina Skyscraper, Marina Pinnacle.
**Dubai, UAE –** A large fire erupted at the 67-story Marina Pinnacle residential skyscraper in Dubai Marina late Saturday night, prompting the swift and safe evacuation of over 3,800 residents. While the blaze engulfed a significant portion of the high-rise, authorities confirmed no injuries or casualties were reported.
Dubai Civil Defence teams worked tirelessly for six hours to bring the fire under control, deploying specialised firefighting and rescue units to ensure a complete and coordinated evacuation. All 3,820 residents occupying the tower’s 764 apartments were safely escorted out, according to the Dubai Media Office (DMO).
“The evacuation was completed without incident,” the DMO stated early Saturday morning, adding that control measures remain in place and the situation is fully managed. Smoke still visible at the site is attributed to ongoing cooling operations.
Authorities are now collaborating with the building’s developer to arrange temporary accommodation for the displaced residents, prioritizing their safety and well-being. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
While officials lauded the operation as a success, some residents reported a lack of initial urgency within the building itself. According to Gulf News, some residents claim they were unaware of the fire until they witnessed fire trucks outside or were alerted by neighbors.
“I think there was no fire alarm, or it didn’t work,” said one nearby resident, Aron. “We were on the streets waving at them, as many residents were just staring out of their windows. They thought the fire was in another building, not their own.”
Videos circulating on social media showed residents fleeing the building, covering their faces against thick smoke.
“It was scary. We were sleeping when it happened. We somehow managed to get out in time,” recounted one resident. “The firefighters did a commendable job, but I don’t know if anything from our belongings is left.”
This is not the first fire incident at Marina Pinnacle, previously known as Tiger Tower. In 2015, a kitchen fire that erupted on the 47th floor spread to the 48th floor before being contained. The tower is also located near The Torch, another residential skyscraper that caught fire in both 2015 and 2017.
