**Ahmedabad Plane Crash Shatters Dreams: Family’s Surprise Visit Turns to Tragedy**

**Ahmedabad, India** – A devastating Air India 787-8 Dreamliner crash near Ahmedabad airport on Thursday has claimed the lives of at least 251 people, both onboard and on the ground, leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams and unimaginable grief. The London-bound flight, carrying 242 passengers and crew, crashed into a doctors’ hostel shortly after takeoff, erupting in a massive fireball. Only one passenger miraculously survived.

Among the victims were Rajnikant Patel, Divyaben Rajnikant, and Hemangi Ben, who were traveling from Vasad, Gujarat, to London to surprise Rajnikant and Divyaben’s daughter, Dhavni Patel, for her upcoming convocation ceremony. The family had originally planned to travel later but changed their plans to spend more time with Dhavni, a decision that tragically cost them their lives.

The news of the crash delivered a cruel blow to Dhavni and another family member, Parth Patel, who lost his mother, Hemangi Ben, just eight months after the passing of his father. Anand MP Mitesh Patel, a friend of the Rajnikant Patel family, visited Parth to offer condolences.

The Charotar region, particularly the Anand and Kheda districts, has been heavily impacted by the tragedy, with reports indicating that at least 50 residents were on the ill-fated flight.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the crash site and injured survivors in the hospital, stating that the final death toll will be confirmed after DNA testing is completed. He assured that forensic laboratories would expedite the process.

Air India confirmed the flight carried 169 Indian passengers, 53 British, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian citizen, along with 12 crew members. The investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
