**Karnataka SSLC Exam-2 Results: Pass Rate Low, But Overall Percentage Climbs to 71.43%**
**Bengaluru, June 13, 2025** – The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced the results of the SSLC Annual Exam-2 today, revealing a pass rate of just 27.67%. Out of 315,564 students who sat for the exam, only 87,330 managed to pass.
Despite the low pass rate in Exam-2, the overall SSLC pass percentage for the academic year has risen to 71.43% when combined with the results from Exam-1, in which 5,28,263 out of 8,61,800 students passed.
Continuing a familiar trend, girls outperformed boys in Exam-2, with a pass percentage of 35% compared to 27% for boys. Government schools also showed strong results, boasting a 36.65% pass rate, exceeding aided (19.75%) and unaided private schools (32%).
“In the SSLC annual exam-2, the pass percentage of government schools is 36.65%, which is higher than the results of aided and unaided schools. This is the reward for the hard work of teachers and students of our government schools,” said Minister for School Education and Literacy, Madhu Bangarappa, applauding the government schools’ performance.
Adding to the good news, the number of students achieving a perfect score of 625/625 has increased, with one student from a government school among the top scorers.
The KSEAB has announced the schedule for Annual Exam-3, which will take place from July 5th to 12th across Karnataka.
