Thu Jun 12 03:30:00 UTC 2025: ## NEET UG 2025 Results Expected by June 14 Amidst Anticipation of Lower Cut-offs
**New Delhi, India** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 by June 14th, along with the final answer key. The exam, held on May 4th across 5,453 centers in around 500 cities, saw over 22.7 lakh candidates vying for coveted seats in MBBS and other allied medical programs.
Results will be available on the official NTA websites: neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. The NTA will also announce the cut-off scores for various categories, determining eligibility for admission.
Experts predict a potential dip in cut-off scores this year due to the perceived increased difficulty of the exam. Nitin Vijay, Founder and CEO of Motion Education, suggests that the cut-off for government medical colleges could be 40 to 50 marks lower compared to last year. This sentiment echoes concerns from students who found the 2025 paper more time-consuming and conceptually challenging than previous years, resembling pre-COVID exam patterns.
Nabin Karki of Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) estimates the all-India quota cut-off to be between 530 and 560 marks, with AIIMS Delhi potentially requiring scores between 660 and 670. For the general category, qualifying marks are expected to be between 130 and 150.
The NEET UG 2025 question paper consisted of 180 compulsory questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology), carrying a total of 720 marks. The marking scheme awards +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer.
Last year, the NEET UG exam was conducted on May 5th, with results declared on June 4th after a provisional answer key release and challenge window. A re-exam was held on June 23rd following controversy. The NEET UG cut-off in 2024 for the general category increased to 720-162 from 720-137 in 2023.
As candidates eagerly await their results, attention is also drawn to the top medical colleges in India, as per the NIRF 2024 rankings, including the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (Bangalore), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences.
