**HYDERABAD, June 3, 2025** – Cooking staff from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across Telangana received specialized training on implementing a new food menu and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation and service. The one-day program, held at the Institute of Hotel Management, Hyderabad, brought together 93 staff members representing all 31 districts of the state.

According to Director of School Education, E.V. Narasimha Reddy, the trained personnel will now act as district resource persons, tasked with disseminating the acquired skills to the rest of the cooking staff in their respective districts. The training focused on strict adherence to the state-prescribed SOPs and ensuring consistent cooking and serving of the standardized menu.
