Nizam College and Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University have emerged as the most popular choices among applicants, recording intake rates of over 97% and 93% respectively in the first phase of seat allotments.

Out of 89,572 candidates who registered for phase-I, 60,436 were successfully allotted seats, according to officials from the Telangana Council of Higher Education. Approximately 4,755 candidates were left unplaced due to limited course choices. Notably, 42,000 students secured their first-preference seats.

Female students showcased a strong presence in this year’s allotment, with 38,041 female candidates securing seats compared to 22,395 male candidates. Furthermore, female students dominated the top rankings across most academic disciplines.

However, the results also highlight disparities, with 74 out of the 805 colleges participating in DOST-2025 failing to attract any students in the first phase.
