**Rajasthan Youth Arrested for Heist of 60 Sovereigns of Gold in Chennai**

**Chennai, India – June 2, 2025:** A 20-year-old man from Rajasthan has been apprehended by Chennai police for allegedly stealing a significant amount of gold jewellery from a showroom in Saidapet. The suspect, identified as Rohit, is accused of absconding with over 60 sovereigns of gold bracelets from Sundar’s jewellery shop on Bazaar Road, where he was employed.

According to police reports, shop owner Sundar filed a complaint after Rohit failed to return to work on Saturday. Review of CCTV footage revealed Rohit stealing the gold while appearing to shift it to the locker. Following a swift search operation, police located and arrested Rohit. The investigation is ongoing.
