Sun Jun 01 19:48:10 UTC 2025: ## Haris Heroics Seal Series Sweep for Pakistan Against Bangladesh

**Lahore, Pakistan -** A blistering century from opener Mohammad Haris propelled Pakistan to a dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20 international at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, completing a clean sweep of the three-match series. Chasing a target of 197, Pakistan reached the total with 16 balls to spare, thanks to Haris’s explosive 107 off just 46 balls.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Pakistan saw Bangladesh get off to a flying start with an opening partnership of 110 between Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan. However, the innings lost momentum after Tanzid’s dismissal in the 11th over, with the visitors ultimately posting 196-6 in their 20 overs.

Pakistan’s chase suffered an early setback with the loss of Sahibzada Farhan in the first over. However, Saim Ayub (45 off 29) and Haris then forged a crucial 92-run partnership, maintaining a high scoring rate that kept Bangladesh on the back foot. Ayub’s dismissal in the 10th over did little to slow Pakistan’s progress, as Haris continued his onslaught, smashing seven sixes and eight fours.

“I tried to learn from my mistakes and didn’t want to waste this opportunity,” said Haris, who was named Player of the Match. He attributed his success to a simple approach of “see ball, play ball.”

Captain Salman Agha expressed his delight with the team’s consistency, adding that the decision to chase was a deliberate attempt to test the team under pressure.

This 3-0 series victory marks Pakistan’s first series sweep since 2021, signaling a promising start for the team under its new leadership.
