Sun Jun 01 23:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Ducks Survive Ole Miss Thriller in Extra Innings at WCWS

**Oklahoma City, OK** – The No. 16 national seed Oregon Ducks softball team fought tooth and nail to keep their Women’s College World Series hopes alive Friday night, defeating the unseeded Ole Miss Rebels 6-5 in a dramatic 10-inning elimination game.

After taking an early lead with multi-run innings in the first and fifth and leading 5-2 heading into the seventh, the Ducks looked poised for a regulation victory. However, Ole Miss mounted a fierce comeback, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh to force extra innings.

Both teams battled through scoreless innings before Oregon finally broke through in the bottom of the 10th. With the bases loaded, Rebels pitcher Binford walked Kedre Luschar, forcing in the winning run and sending the Ducks to another elimination game.

Lyndsey Grein started for the Ducks, with Elise Sokolsky and Staci Chambers appearing in relief. Oregon will now face the loser of the Oklahoma vs. Texas game on June 1st.
