**JEE Advanced 2025 Results Declared, Cutoffs Lowered**

**[City, Date]** – The results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, the gateway to prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), have been announced. Candidates can now check their results and download their scorecards on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

IIT Kanpur conducted the examination on May 18th in two shifts across 222 cities in India, along with Kathmandu and Dubai, bringing the total to 224 cities. Along with the results, the final answer key has also been released.

This year saw a registration of 1.9 lakh (190,000) students for the JEE Advanced examination. The exam, totaling 360 marks, comprised two papers, each worth 180 marks.

A significant development this year is the lowering of cutoffs across all categories. The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff marks required for inclusion in the rank list are as follows:

* **Common Rank List (CRL):** 20.56%
* **General-EWS and OBC-NCL Rank Lists:** 18.50%
* **SC, ST, and PwD Rank Lists (All Categories):** 10.28%
* **Preparatory Course Rank List:** 5.14%

2. Click on the link provided under the ‘Announcements’ section for the scorecard.
3. Enter your application number and date of birth.
4. View your result and rank details.
5. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

This year’s cutoffs show a decrease compared to the previous year, where subject-wise and average percentage cutoffs were higher for general, OBC, and EWS categories.

While last year, 43,773 students were qualified for counseling for the 17,385 IIT seats, this year it is expected that a larger number of students will be called for counseling.

**JoSAA Counseling to Begin on June 3rd:**

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs will commence on June 3rd. This year, JoSAA counseling will facilitate admissions to 23 IITs, 32 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 47 GFTIs. The counseling process will be conducted online in six rounds, from June 3rd to July 28th. Online registration and college choice filling will be open from June 3rd to June 12th (5 PM). The first round of seat allocation will be announced on June 14th.

Candidates allocated seats in the first round must pay the seat acceptance fee during online reporting and confirm their seats by June 19th. Subsequent seat allocation rounds will be announced on June 21st, June 28th, July 4th, and July 10th. The sixth and final round of seat allocation is scheduled for July 16th.

Experts are advising students to fill in as many college choices as possible, in descending order of preference, considering the opening and closing ranks of colleges from previous years.
