**Teen Drowns in Cauvery River Near Tiruchi**

**Tiruchi, June 2, 2025** – A 17-year-old boy, identified as S. Dinesh Kumar, tragically drowned in the Cauvery River at Mukkombu near Tiruchi on Sunday evening. Firefighters recovered his body on Monday morning.

Dinesh Kumar, a resident of E. Pudur in Tiruchi city and recent Class 12 graduate, visited Mukkombu with a friend on Sunday. According to police sources, he reportedly ventured too deep into the river and drowned.

The Vathalai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
