The festival will feature three of the group’s most popular comedic productions: *Neeru Kudisida Neereyaru*, a Kannada adaptation of Shakespeare’s *Merry Wives of Windsor*, *Mukkam Post Bombilwadi*, a humorous work of fiction featuring Adolf Hitler, and *Miss Sadarame*, an innovative take on an older story.
Founded in 2000 by Ravindra Poojary and Jayateertha, Samashti has been dedicated to nurturing new talent and promoting Kannada theatre. Over the past two and a half decades, they have staged 23 plays, choosing productions with unique concepts that allow them to incorporate diverse theatrical elements.
“Way before we formed Samashti, the three of us were actively involved in street plays,” explained Manjunath L Badiger, a senior member and director. “We always direct our plays and try to encourage our members. We also organise free theatre workshops for schools and colleges.”

“Once we passed out of Abhinaya Taranga, we wanted to start off on our own and till date we have staged 23 plays with Samashti,” says Ravindra Poojary. “All our plays are based on published plays, novels and poetry.”
