The season finale, hosted by veteran Scarlett Johansson with musical guest Bad Bunny, aired last week, capping off a celebratory year for the iconic late-night show.
Johansson, making her seventh appearance as host, poked fun at her long history with “SNL” during her opening monologue. The episode also featured musical performances by Bad Bunny, showcasing tracks “NUEVAYoL” and “PERFuMITO NUEVO.” Notably, while a joke in Johansson’s monologue alluded to Sarah Sherman’s departure, no official cast member exits have been confirmed, potentially signaling a full cast return next season.
Season 50 kicked off in September with Jean Smart and Jelly Roll and continued with a diverse lineup of hosts including Nate Bargatze, Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, Billie Eilish, John Mulaney, Bill Burr, Charli XCX, Paul Mescal, Chris Rock, Martin Short, Dave Chappelle, Timothée Chalamet, Mikey Madison, Jack Black, Jon Hamm, and Quinta Brunson.
