**STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -** “Saturday Night Live” has concluded its milestone 50th season after a year packed with celebrity hosts, musical guests, and the show’s signature brand of sketch comedy. The season finale, hosted by veteran Scarlett Johansson with musical guest Bad Bunny, aired last week, capping off a celebratory year for the iconic late-night show.

Johansson, making her seventh appearance as host, poked fun at her long history with “SNL” during her opening monologue. The episode also featured musical performances by Bad Bunny, showcasing tracks “NUEVAYoL” and “PERFuMITO NUEVO.” Notably, while a joke in Johansson’s monologue alluded to Sarah Sherman’s departure, no official cast member exits have been confirmed, potentially signaling a full cast return next season.

Season 50 kicked off in September with Jean Smart and Jelly Roll and continued with a diverse lineup of hosts including Nate Bargatze, Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, Billie Eilish, John Mulaney, Bill Burr, Charli XCX, Paul Mescal, Chris Rock, Martin Short, Dave Chappelle, Timothée Chalamet, Mikey Madison, Jack Black, Jon Hamm, and Quinta Brunson. Musical guests included Stevie Nicks, Chappell Roan, Mk.gee, Shaboozey, Gracie Abrams, Hozier, GloRilla, Morgan Wallen, Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Lizzo, Benson Boone, and Arcade Fire.

February saw a special three-hour anniversary celebration featuring appearances from numerous “SNL” alumni and iconic stars.

The season saw the return of veteran cast members including Colin Jost and Michael Che, who completed their 11th season together on “Weekend Update.” The show also welcomed new featured players Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline.
