**Thai Beauty Suchata Chuang Crowned Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad**

**Hyderabad, India – May 31, 2025** – In a dazzling ceremony held in Hyderabad, India, Suchata Chuang of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025. The 72nd edition of the prestigious competition saw Chuang triumph over 107 other contestants from around the globe.

Reigning Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszkova, passed on the crown to a visibly emotional Chuang. The runners-up included Miss Ethiopia, who secured the 1st runner-up position, Miss Poland as the 2nd runner-up, and Miss Martinique as the 3rd runner-up.

Chuang, who hails from Phuket, Thailand, will receive a prize of approximately 85 million INR. Her victory was met with jubilant celebrations across Thailand.

A cancer survivor, Chuang is passionate about raising awareness for breast cancer through her “Opal for Her” initiative. As a 16-year-old, she overcame cancer and has since dedicated herself to supporting cancer patients in Thailand by working with organizations to raise funds and provide support to survivors.

Earlier in the competition, Miss India, Nandini Gupta, was eliminated after the Top 8 round. The Top 8 contestants represented Martinique, Brazil, Ethiopia, Namibia, Poland, Ukraine, Philippines, and Thailand. Contestants were selected from across the continent and faced question from the host: What would you do if you were Miss World. Contestants had 45 seconds to respond.

Chuang has stated her goal is to use her platform as Miss World to inspire young people to make a positive impact on the world.
