**Bengaluru, May 31, 2025** – The Karnataka government has appointed Manivannan P., a 1998-batch IAS officer currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, as the new Commissioner of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), effective today, May 31st. Manivannan P. will succeed Jayaram N., who is retiring from service on the same day. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that the new commissioner will assume his role at a crucial time for the BDA.
